Progress on No 401

June 2006

No 401 arrived at Workington and work began on tidying it up and preparing it for an MOT. Most of the work involved cleaning the interior and exterior plus minor repairs including rectification of the starter button.

The rear end has been fitted with Series 3 engine covers which will at some stage be replaced with the correct series 2 ones. For now they have been repaired.

December 2006

As there is little point in MOTing an open topper in the winter this as now been deferred until nearer Easter. In the meantime work continues with the refitting of a PAYE sign and paint stripping of the interior where the original interior had been painted yellow.
